Project Scope
The IT Specialist will be a member of the Corporate IT team, responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and supporting Windows and Linux operating systems in an Active Directory environment. The role includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues in a timely manner. The candidate will support overall IT infrastructure, including PCs, laptops, printers, monitors, and associated peripherals, and assist with network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
Mandatory Skills
- Proficient in PC hardware, laptops, peripherals, and printers
- Active Directory administration
- Exchange Administration
- Network switches and Firewalls
- Linux Administration
- Knowledge of network architectures, protocols, and services (file sharing, domain services, web services, VMware, RSA multifactor)
- Experience in building, securing, maintaining, and troubleshooting operating systems (Windows 11, Windows Server, Rocky Linux, Red Hat Linux)
- Familiarity with NIST and CMMC requirements
Desirable Skills
- Windows and Linux knowledge (both preferred)
- Basic networking experience (installation, configuration, troubleshooting of switches/routers/firewalls)
- Hands-on break/fix experience with hardware
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and end-user interface skills
Candidate Requirements
- Experience Level: 4–6 years of professional IT experience
- Clearance: Active TS/SCI
- Certifications: CompTIA Security required; DOD 8570 Certification required
- Degree: Preferred but not required (Bachelor’s in IT, CS, or related field)
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Junior to early mid-level candidates only; no candidates with 12 years of experience
Shift & Work Schedule
- Start at 7 or 8 AM, Monday through Friday
