Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Information Technology Specialist to support Navy enterprise systems, focusing on IT planning, cybersecurity, cloud integration, system upgrades, and program support. This role contributes directly to mission-critical modernization and ensures secure, compliant, and efficient technology operations across Navy platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Technology & System Support
- Support IT planning, architecture design, and system enhancement initiatives.
- Analyze Navy Enterprise Architecture to identify integration opportunities and recommend improvements.
- Participate in system upgrades, data migrations, cloud transitions, and technical remediation efforts.
- Develop system management procedures, technical best practices, and operational SOPs.
Cloud & Architecture
- Support evaluation and integration of Government-approved cloud solutions (AWS, Azure).
- Develop cloud architectures and multi-cloud data exchange strategies.
- Provide technical assistance during system testing, performance validation, and integration activities.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Ensure alignment with DoD/DON Information Assurance (IA) policies and security requirements.
- Support Clinger-Cohen Act (CCA) compliance activities and documentation.
- Implement safeguards to protect confidentiality, integrity, availability, and authentication of Navy systems.
- Update and maintain risk registers, POA&Ms, and associated security documentation.
Documentation & Program Support
- Prepare and update technical documentation, lifecycle artifacts, and engineering plans.
- Assist with Defense Business Systems (DBS) documentation under DoD 5000 guidelines.
- Produce senior-level briefings, reports, and technical presentations.
- Support communication strategies, stakeholder engagement, and change management initiatives.
SAP Support (as needed)
- Provide guidance on SAP technical configurations, data loading, and role strategies.
- Develop process documentation and after-action reports to support technical environment deployment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5 years of experience in enterprise IT, system architecture, cloud environments, or cybersecurity.
- Strong understanding of:
- DoD/DON IA policies
- Clinger-Cohen Act requirements
- Compliance frameworks
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), system upgrades, data migration, and network configuration.
- Working knowledge of SAP technical environments (preferred).
- Active Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Preferred Certifications
- Cybersecurity: Security , CISSP, CISM
- Cloud: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator
- Project Management: PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist
- ITIL Foundation
