Job Overview
CCRC Farms is looking for a dependable, reliable, self driven individual to fulfill the Field Manager position.
RESPONSABILITIES -
The following is a list of general responsibilities for this position. It is understood that these general responsibilities are not inclusive of all the duties that this position requires, but instead, are intended as a general scope of work.
- Assist with all farming operations.
- Assist with general maintenance of buildings and facilities.
- Assist with equipment repair, shop operations, cost control, and in field implement setup.
- Oversee employees working on ranch.
- Install, maintain & repair Irrigation Systems.
- Spraying herbicide and insecticides.
- Chopping & pruning trees and bushes.
- Clearing ditches.
- Operate equipment for orchard and row crop production.
Any other services, acts or things necessary or advisable to manage and conduct the business of the Company.
Other duties may be assigned, if deemed necessary, by the Company.
REQUIREMENTS -
- Must have college degree in Farm Management, Natural Resources, Ecology or related field and 3-5 years' experience in recreational farm management with emphasis on ecological restoration.
- Background in business administration with an understanding for finance and agriculture.
- Must be self-motivated, highly organized and able to communicate well with fellow employees.
- Must be willing to relocate to somewhat remote agricultural area.
- Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Have a general knowledge of GPS tractor guidance and leveling systems.
- Read, write, and speak English and Speak basic conversational Spanish.
- Have experience/basic knowledge in hay baling operations.
- Basic knowledge of Farm P&L Management.
This position reports to the General Ranch Manager.
This position directly supervises 15-20 employees. The position shall carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures and applicable laws. Such supervisory responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems and disputes.
Pay: $90, $120,000.00 per year
