Data & Instructional Coach / GAP Program Coordinator

Reports To: Principal, Campbell County High School Location: Campbell County High School 

Position Summary

The Data & Instructional Coach / GAP Program Coordinator is an 11-month position that serves a dual role in supporting student achievement and school improvement at Campbell County High School. The position is responsible for promoting instructional excellence through coaching, data analysis, and professional support to teachers (25% of duties), while providing oversight, coordination, and management of the GAP Program (75% of duties). The employee works collaboratively with administrators, teachers, students, families, and community partners to improve academic outcomes, increase student engagement, and support school improvement goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Data & Instructional Coaching (25%)

The Data & Instructional Coach component of this position provides support for teachers and administrators through instructional leadership, data analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.

Instructional Leadership

• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support high-quality instruction aligned with district and state standards.
• Model and promote evidence-based instructional practices and innovative teaching strategies.
• Assist teachers in implementing differentiated instruction to address diverse learning needs.
• Provide job-embedded coaching, mentoring, and support for teachers.
• Facilitate professional learning opportunities related to effective instructional practices.

Data Analysis and School Improvement

• Collect, analyze, and interpret student achievement data from various sources.
• Assist teachers and departments in using assessment results to guide instructional planning and decision-making.
• Support the development and monitoring of school improvement goals and action plans.
• Help identify trends, instructional strengths, and areas for growth.
• Collaborate with school leadership teams to review data and monitor academic progress.

Classroom Environment and Student Engagement

• Promote effective classroom management practices that support a positive learning environment.
• Assist teachers in developing strategies that foster positive school climate and culture.
• Support initiatives focused on student engagement, attendance, behavior, and academic success.
• Encourage implementation of social-emotional learning and student-centered instructional practices.

Collaboration and Professional Growth

• Participate in leadership, curriculum, and school improvement meetings.
• Work collaboratively with faculty to implement district initiatives and best practices.
• Maintain current knowledge of educational research, instructional technology, and effective teaching practices.
• Support the integration of instructional technology tools that enhance student learning.

GAP Program Coordinator (75%)

The GAP Program Coordinator component of this position is responsible for the overall administration, implementation, and evaluation of the GAP Program at Campbell County High School.

Program Oversight and Management

• Coordinate all aspects of the GAP Program to ensure compliance with district, state, and program requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor program goals, schedules, and activities.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, reports, and program data.
• Monitor student progress and program effectiveness.

Student Support and Engagement

• Identify, and monitor eligible students participating in the GAP Program.
• Provide academic and career readiness support for participating students.
• Monitor student attendance, participation, academic progress, and graduation requirements.
• Collaborate with counselors, teachers, and administrators to identify and address student needs.

Staff Coordination

• Supervise and support GAP Program personnel and contracted staff as assigned.
• Coordinate professional development and training for program staff.
• Schedule program activities and ensure adequate staffing coverage.

Family and Community Partnerships

• Serve as the primary liaison between the school, families, business partners, and community organizations regarding the GAP Program.
• Coordinate parent meetings, informational sessions, and family engagement activities.
• Develop partnerships that enhance opportunities for students.

Compliance and Reporting

• Ensure all program activities meet applicable district, state, and funding requirements.
• Prepare required reports, documentation, and evaluation materials.
• Monitor program budgets and assist with resource allocation as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Valid Tennessee Teaching License required.
• Minimum of three (3) years successful teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with instructional coaching, data analysis, school improvement planning, or educational leadership preferred.
• Experience coordinating educational programs and working with diverse student populations preferred.

• Ability to analyze and interpret student achievement and assessment data.
• Knowledge of school improvement processes and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to facilitate professional learning and coach adult learners.
• Ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, families, and community stakeholders.
• Proficiency with educational technology and data management systems.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
