Location: Medical Center-Prosper Department: Rehab-Prosper Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 4 Summary: The Inpatient Staff Physical Therapist will have the education, knowledge and skill to provide in-patient services focusing on functional skills to enhance development, restore function and to prevent disability from pediatric conditions, illness and injury. Evaluation, treatment and home programming are provided for children with: orthopedic injuries, brain injuries and neurological impairments, hematology and oncology disorders, musculoskeletal injuries or disorders, neuromuscular disorders, gross motor delays, and cardiopulmonary disorders. Treatment may also include evaluations for wheelchairs, walkers and other assistive devices. The PT will provide therapy services for patients admitted to hospital The position will include patient and caregiver education and consultation to other medical professionals, clinics and agencies, both within Cook Children's Health Care System and within the community. Documentation and correspondence pertaining to these services will follow department and system policies. The PT demonstrates quality customer service while interacting with customers.
