Location: Dodson Medical Office Building Department: Endocrinology Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas, has a full time opportunity for a BC/BE pediatric endocrinologist. This is an opportunity to concentrate primarily on clinical care in a hospital based setting. Involvement in clinical research and teaching are not required but plentiful opportunities are available as are adjunct affiliations with local medical schools (TCU and UNT). Our endocrinology team, led by medical director, Dr. Paul Thornton, is comprised of 13 board certified pediatric endocrinologists, 5 advanced practice providers (4 certified pediatric nurse practitioners and 1 physician assistant), CDCES, psychologists, dieticians and social work. One of the world's most respected congenital hyperinsulinism centers is right here at Cook Children's. The department also includes a world-renowned lipid clinic and a CAH comprehensive care center in addition to 7 other multispecialty clinics. We have 3 health care system Endowed chairs. Qualifications• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required.• American Heart Association BLS and PALS.• Unrestricted Texas Medical license (must obtain prior to start date).• Must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency for pediatrics.• Board certified/Board Eligible in pediatric endocrinology.
