CCORTECH LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our growing Fire & Life Safety division.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in servicing, maintaining, inspecting, and troubleshooting commercial fire alarm systems. This position requires the ability to independently complete service calls, diagnose system issues, and perform necessary repairs while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Independently perform service, maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs of commercial fire alarm systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Identify system deficiencies and recommend appropriate repairs or improvements.
- Read and interpret system drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and technical manuals.
- Utilize hand tools, testing equipment, and industry best practices to complete assigned work.
- Ensure compliance with applicable NFPA standards, Louisiana State Fire Marshal requirements, and company safety policies.
- Accurately document service calls, inspections, labor hours, materials used, and completed repairs.
- Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members.
- Provide guidance and support to entry-level technicians as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Travel to customer locations and perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a technician in the fire and life safety industry.
- Louisiana Fire License.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, components, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Ability to independently manage service calls and assigned responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
- Familiarity with NFPA 72 and applicable fire alarm codes and regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and access confined spaces.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to safely perform work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
