Location: Medical Center - Fort Worth Department: Goodies To Go Shift: Varying Shifts (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: The Lead/Driver Grab and Go is responsible for the performing lead duties by assisting the store supervisor with the daily operating procedures such as opening and closing of shift and leading employees during times of the supervisor's absence. This role assists the Chef and Sous Chef Supervisor with general operations that contribute to the achievement of the store's goals, customer service, and quality improvement activities. This job ensures service standards are met and surpassed by providing customers with prompt service, and quality products, all while maintaining a clean, sanitized and comfortable store environment including prepping ingredients for next day's production needs as assigned. Responsibilities also include processing transactions through the cash register and accurately maintaining daily cash drawer. This position is also responsible for maintaining the prep area to include setting up the equipment in the store for service. Responsibilities also include consistency in excellent customer service to ensure optimal customer satisfaction. This position's responsibilities also include delivering food items and supplies using the department catering van as needed to designated locations. Education & Experience: Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent certificate. Four years' experience in food preparation, handling, and presentation of foods in hotel, restaurant, institutional or retail cafeteria setting. Demonstrated knowledge of weights and measures, perform mathematical calculations used in recipe conversions. Must be able to follow and relay oral and detailed written instructions, effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to perform duties throughout shift that require standing, walking, pushing up to 400# rolling carts, pulling, stooping, lifting up to 50# containers, and withstand extreme temperatures of hot and cold for periods of time Twelve semester hours of food production courses preferred. Must have acceptable driving record to obtain driving privileges at CCHCS. Certification/Licensure: Must have City of Ft. Worth Food Handlers Card prior to employment. Card must be current at all times during employment. Must have CCHCS approved Driving Status and take annual defensive driving course via Chex.
