Location: Dodson Medical Office Building Department: Child Life Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 20 Summary: The Child Life Specialist will work in our ENT Outpatient Clinic and is responsible for assessing, educating, preparing, and supporting patients and families throughout their healthcare journey. Our Child Life Specialist works closely with other health care providers, as well as the community to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the health care experience. As a child life staff member, the child life specialist will demonstrate a commitment to the values of Cook Children's Health Care System, integrating them into each job function: Safety, Integrity, Caring, Collaboration, Giving, Innovation. NOTE: Eligible applicants must have completed a Child Life Internship to be considered. Hours: Part-time First shift (20 hours per week) rotating schedule: Mon/Tues one week, Wed-Fri the next. Required Education/Qualifications: Bachelor's (or) Master's Degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a closely related field. Completion of a child life internship. Certified Child Life Specialist (or eligible) within one year of hire. American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS is required within 60 days of hire. $2500 sign-on bonus offered to qualified applicants.
