Job Summary
Cresset is seeking a Regional Managing Director, Wealth Advisory to lead and develop Advisor teams across a designated region. This role serves as the primary leadership partner to Advisors, driving advisor development, sales effectiveness, business growth, client experience, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a proven track record of managing high-performing advisory teams, coaching advisors, driving organic growth initiatives, and leading sales management programs within a sophisticated client base.
Key Responsibilities
Advisor Leadership, Sales Management & Business Growth
- Serve as the senior leader and primary point of contact for Advisors within the region, fostering trusted relationships and providing strategic guidance to support advisor success.
- Develop a deep understanding of advisor practices, market opportunities, and business objectives to help Advisors grow their businesses and deliver exceptional client outcomes.
- Coach Advisors on business development, client acquisition, wallet-share expansion, sales effectiveness, and practice management, helping drive sustainable organic growth across the region.
- Lead advisor development efforts, including onboarding, mentoring, and professional development initiatives that strengthen advisor capabilities and long-term career growth.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top advisory talent while fostering a high-performance, client-focused culture aligned with Cresset's values and vision.
- Oversee regional workforce planning, hiring, and performance evaluations.
Strategic Leadership & Business Management
- Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to develop and execute firmwide initiatives that advance Cresset's strategic objectives and enhance the advisor and client experience.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, including revenue growth, client retention, advisor productivity, and business performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and effectiveness.
- Leverage data, market insights, and advisor feedback to identify emerging trends, growth opportunities, and areas requiring strategic intervention.
- Provide strategic oversight and leadership for advisor lift-outs, team transitions, acquisitions, and integration efforts, ensuring successful execution and alignment.
- Serve as a thought partner to executive leadership on advisor growth, organizational development, succession planning, and market expansion opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to firm policies, procedures, and risk management practices by proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational and client-related risks.
- Champion a culture of accountability, fiduciary excellence, and continuous improvement across the advisory organization.
Qualifications
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
- 10 years of experience in wealth management, financial services, or related industries serving ultra-high-net-worth clients.
- 5 years of leadership experience managing, coaching, and developing high-performing Advisor teams.
- Demonstrated success leading advisor development, sales management, business growth initiatives, and performance coaching programs.
- Experience balancing competing priorities and influencing outcomes across all levels of an organization.

Travel
- Willingness to travel approximately 30–50%.
What We Offer:
At Cresset, we focus on people first. As a service business, our people are our assets. Engaging our clients and employees is our highest priority. Starting base salary is $250,000 - $300,000. Salary will be based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, licenses/certifications, industry knowledge, and geographic location. Cresset offers a competitive compensation package including an annual incentive and a benefits package to all full-time employees including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, health savings accounts, short and long-term disability insurance, voluntary critical and accident insurance, and pre-tax parking and transportation programs.
