Qualifications:
CCL Container is seeking a highly motivated Process Engineering Intern to join our team at the Hermitage, PA facility. This internship provides hands-on experience in aluminum aerosol can and beverage bottle manufacturing, with a primary focus on optimizing processes to improve quality and productivity. The intern will work closely with engineers, production teams, and maintenance personnel to develop robust manufacturing processes, detect process deviations, and implement improvements for enhanced efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and increase productivity.
- Observe and document process shifts, deviations, and inefficiencies to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop robust manufacturing processes to reduce variability and improve consistency.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to monitor process performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain thorough documentation of process evaluations, findings, and implemented improvements.
- Summarize key observations and recommendations into detailed reports for review by engineering and management teams.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail to observe and document process deviations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and report preparation.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods and wearing PPE as required.
