Summary/Objective
The General Manager’s primary function is to direct and coordinate activities of the organization to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.

- Manages and controls the organization in order to meet company goals and year-to year business plans as to sales, profits, and overall business objectives.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining employee, customer and community relations; company safety, EEO and CCL Ethics guidelines and other administration programs. Incorporates Human Resource plans to meet employee needs and expectations.
- Oversees programs that comply with federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations.
- Plans, develops and implements organization policies and goals.
- Coordinates activities of divisions or departments such as operating, manufacturing, engineering, planning, sales, maintenance, or research and development, to effect operational efficiency and economy.
- Directs and coordinates promotion of products manufactured or services performed to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry.
- Responsible for manufacturing and production of a quality product that meets/exceeds customer specifications and scheduled delivery requirements.
- Ensures proper capital expenditures to ensure that company funds are effectively spent to meet EPA, OSHA, and other goals.
- Analyzes division or department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocates operating budget.
- Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required.
- Promotes organization in industry, manufacturing or trade associations. Represents the company to outside agencies, vendors, and customers.
- Accountable for all reporting of financial results and proper accounting as per Financial Policies.
- Maintains harmony among employees and resolves grievances. Communicates effectively with employees to relay messages, policies, practices, schedules, etc.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
- Demonstrates the behaviors of punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directed task completion.
- Training of other co-workers as needed for production demands.
- Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the VP.

Supervisory Responsibility
- Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 75 employees throughout entire plant.
- Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
- Also directly supervises non-supervisory employees.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and print chemicals involved in a printing environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
Physical Demands
The following physical qualifications must be met to perform the essential functions of this job:
Ability to bend, reach, crawl, twist and lift at least 30 pounds unassisted is required. The ability to remain in a standing or seated position for long periods of time is required. The ability to see, hear, count, read and follow verbal directives in English is required. The ability to differentiate colors, horizontal and vertical positions is required. The ability to perform repetitive upper body motions is required.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Must be flexible with hours and work overtime when needed.
Travel - Frequently 30%
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with a Master's Degree preferred, or equivalent education, training, and/or experience.
Must have 5-7 years of business unit direction with control of at least 2-3 major functional areas, as well as experience with pressure sensitive label material, label conversion, Flexo printing, material construction or related field.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have solid working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
