Responsibilities
- Operate color matching equipment and coating machinery following manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ISO 9000 standards.
- Accurately mix and match colors using laboratory and industrial chemical handling techniques, ensuring consistency across production batches.
- Handle industrial chemicals safely, adhering to regulatory compliance standards, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain detailed records of color formulations, coating parameters, and batch documentation for audits and quality control purposes.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during chemical agent handling, material handling, and manufacturing processes to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in manufacturing environments, preferably within printing or industrial chemical manufacturing facilities.
- Laboratory experience with color matching techniques or chemical analysis.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, machining processes, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Basic math skills for measurements, formulations, and quality assessments.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred.
- Ability to handle industrial chemicals safely while following strict safety protocols including respiratory protection and PPE usage.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted. 51 - 125 lbs with assistance.
