What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Estimator position at CCL Global?
Our client is hiring a Senior Estimator with experience in TxDOT projects in San Antonio, Texas. If you have 7 years of experience estimating heavy civil scopes of work, including roadway/highway, bridges, underground wet utilities, water/waste water treatment plants, and gas/fiber optics we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze TxDOT and municipal bid documents, plans, and specifications to fully understand project scope and requirements.
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for earthwork, wet and dry utilities, concrete paving, and structures using AGTEK or similar software.
- Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure coverage and competitive pricing.
- Develop detailed estimates including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor components.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals and ensure all required documentation is accurate and complete before deadlines.
- Participate in bid review meetings to discuss risk, constructability, and value-engineering opportunities.
- Ability to support training & development of 2-3 junior Estimators
Qualifications:
- 7 years estimating within heavy civil construction highly preferred
- Proven experience bidding & winning projects from $50M- $100M (will consider $25M- $50M)
- HCSS HeavyBid software knowledge is preferred (Bid2Win or similar software is acceptable)
- Highly organized, detailed communicator, strong work ethic, and analytical mindset
- Previously supported junior Estimators in training & development is a plus
