Project Controls Manager
Kingsport, TN (On-site)
We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to support a portfolio of capital projects at a major industrial manufacturing site in Northeast Tennessee. This role is responsible for overseeing cost, schedule, and performance across multiple concurrent projects during engineering and construction phases.
Responsibilities
- Manage project controls activities across 5 to 15 capital projects ranging from $500K to $20MM
- Perform cost estimating, forecasting, and variance analysis throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules aligned with key milestones
- Monitor project performance and identify risks related to cost and schedule
- Partner with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and controls
- Lead project review meetings and provide updates to stakeholders and leadership
- Prepare and present reports on financial performance and schedule status
- Support implementation and improvement of project controls tools and processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, or scheduling within industrial or construction environments
- Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects
- Strong background in both cost control and scheduling
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, and/or SAP
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
