Cabling Assistant (Full-Time)

CCi Voice is looking for a motivated Cabling Assistant to join our growing Physical Solutions team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing quality installations, and wants to build a long-term career in the telecommunications and low-voltage industry.
Some experience with structured cabling, electrical work, or construction is helpful, but we’re also interested in candidates who have recently completed a trade school program or vocational training in electrical, networking, or a related field. We’ll provide additional on-the-job training to help you succeed.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with the installation of Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, and other low-voltage cabling.
- Help install security cameras, access control systems, Wi-Fi equipment, and network infrastructure.
- Pull, route, label, and terminate cables.
- Assist with equipment mounting, rack installation, and cable management.
- Read and follow installation plans and work instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Travel to customer locations throughout Connecticut and the surrounding region.
- Work alongside experienced technicians while learning industry best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Trade school or vocational training in electrical, networking, telecommunications, or a related field is a plus.
- Some experience with low-voltage cabling, electrical work, construction, or installation work is preferred but not required.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders when needed.
