We are seeking a motivated Industrial Engineer to join our team. The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall productivity while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Industrial Engineer based in Butler, IN. The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for analyzing and improving manufacturing processes, implementing process improvement initiatives, and ensuring production efficiency. The role includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing workflows, analyzing performance data, and communicating effectively with team members to drive continuous improvement in industrial and manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current production processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
- Design, develop, and implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct time and motion studies, work measurements, and process simulations
- Develop and optimize facility layouts, material flow, and production line balancing
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to solve operational problems
- Perform cost analysis and justify capital equipment investments
- Support capacity planning, forecasting, and production scheduling
- Utilize data analysis and statistical tools to drive decision-making
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
0–6 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (entry-level to mid-level)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD
Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim) is a plus
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work on the production floor and in a fast-paced environment
