TITLE: Assistant FFA Sponsor

LOCATION: Clear Creek Amana High School (Tiffin, IA)

JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Sponsor works collaboratively with the Head Sponsor to support all aspects of the student organization. The Assistant Sponsor helps promote student leadership, organizational growth, and meaningful student engagement while assisting with meetings, activities, events, and organizational responsibilities. The Assistant Sponsor serves as a positive role model and helps ensure the organization's mission aligns with the goals and expectations of the school district.

REPORTS TO: Activities Director and Head Sponsor

SUPERVISES: Students

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents, and community members.
• Demonstrated commitment to student leadership development and extracurricular involvement.
• Ability to supervise students in a variety of settings outside the regular school day.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1. Assist the Head Sponsor in planning, organizing, and supervising organization meetings and activities.
2. Support the implementation of the organization's annual goals and program of activities.
3. Help supervise students during organization events, competitions, conferences, community service projects, and other sponsored activities.
4. Assist with organizing fundraising activities in accordance with district policies and procedures.
5. Promote student leadership, responsibility, citizenship, and positive school culture.
6. Help maintain effective communication with students, families, school staff, and administration.
7. Assist with record keeping, documentation, and completion of required reports as assigned.
8. Encourage student participation and help recruit new members.
9. Support compliance with district policies as well as state and national organization requirements.
10. Attend sponsor meetings, professional development opportunities, and required organizational events as assigned.
11. Perform other duties related to the successful operation of the organization as assigned by the Head Sponsor or Activities Director.

Terms of Employment:

1. Position is assigned annually.
2. Stipend determined by the negotiated supplemental salary schedule.
3. Reports to the Activities Directors and works under the direction of the Head Sponsor.
