The retention advisor reports to the Director of the Center for Academic Excellence. The retention advisor provides academic advising to freshmen students and serves as liaison to the CAE academic advisors. The retention advisor will make student referrals to support services in CAE and to other appropriate services on-campus and off- campus; tracks students' academic progress, curriculum patterns, co-curricular activities, etc.; collaborates with CAE staff to design and monitor individualized academic enrichment plans, including supplemental instruction and tutoring and recruit school/college faculty to participate in CAE and other faculty advising seminars and professional development workshops.
