We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to support our financial operations across multiple entities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and contributing to a collaborative team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Position Overview
The Accounting Assistant will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll support. The right candidate will be eager to learn, take ownership of responsibilities, and help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across our restaurants, catering services, and event venues.
What you’ll do
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain organized accounting records
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and vendor invoices
- Support payroll processing and employee time tracking across multiple locations
- Assist with entering sales and deposit data from restaurant POS systems
- Help prepare basic financial reports and spreadsheets for management review
- Maintain accurate documentation for tax and compliance purposes
- Communicate with vendors and staff regarding billing or payment inquiries
- Support the accounting team with other administrative or clerical tasks as needed
- Travel to our various restaurant and event sites to collect invoices, count safes and other accounting tasks as needed
Basic qualifications
- 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (hospitality or restaurant industry preferred)
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (required)
- Familiarity with POS systems (Toast experience a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
