We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for set-up, pour, and finishing concrete surfaces to ensure durability, safety, and aesthetic appeal across a variety of projects. Responsibilities
- Prepare concrete surfaces by leveling, smoothing, and finishing using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds
- Set forms and molds accurately according to blueprints and schematics for various concrete applications
- Install rebar and metal reinforcement to strengthen concrete structures in accordance with engineering plans
- Operate heavy equipment including power buggies, skid loaders, and other machinery safely and efficiently
- Read blueprints and schematics to interpret project requirements and ensure precise execution of tasks
- Perform finishing techniques such as edging, trimming, caulking, and applying textures or stamps for decorative concrete work
- Assist with related tasks as needed on site
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades such as masonry or carpentry
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tools, power equipment, and heavy machinery used in concrete work
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of rebar installation, form setting, and concrete pouring processes
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and performing manual labor in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with construction estimating principles and safety protocols on job sites
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred for operating large equipment or transporting materials
- Additional skills in roofing, restoration work, welding, tile laying or other construction disciplines are a plus
