What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ag Equipment Operator position at CC Borgen Inc?
Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins and augers to load carts and trailers; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and primarily John Deere self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as wheat, soybeans, corn, sugar beets; Load inputs and transport to fields, load crops and drive truck with trailer to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Haul and spread fertilizer and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Speak and understand English. Approximate staggered entry: 4 workers to begin April 1, 1 worker to begin June 1, and 1 worker to begin Aug 1.
