Network Operations Specialist

Fulltime - US Citizen or Green Card Candidates (No Sponsorship, NO C2C, NO H1B) Location - South Central Michigan (13 sites in and around Lansing to Bronson, Battle Creek to Ann Arbor)

CBTS is currently searching for a field Network Analyst that can provide Networking support throughout South Central Michigan. Candidates need to have prior experience with SolarWinds network Monitoring and General knowledge of Routers and Switches. Candidate needs to have reliable transportation to travel between locations and emergencies.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Network Monitoring and escalation of critical devices and applications.
• Generate and publish application performance reports.
• Provide notification to platform owners and the service teams for Level 1&2 incidents.
• Manage incident and request tasks assigned until it reaches a resolved state.
• Provide communication to the technical support teams including status updates for on-going incidents/events.
• Create, update and document system processes and tasks as required.
• Work closely with network engineers, systems administrators and software engineers regarding technology and hardware upgrades.
• Provide on-call support for Crisis and Incident Management during normal business hours, evenings and weekends as required.
• Provide support for the NOC Team, Data Center Operations Team and Infrastructure Field Services Team when required.
• Installation / Decommission Servers and Network equipment.
• Co-ordinate with Vendors for maintenance and escorts
• Perform installation of Ethernet and Fiber cabling.
• Provide hands and Feet support for all hardware equipment.
• Must be able to travel across the South region of the lower peninsula of Michigan
• On-Call Support Rotation
• On-call support rotation will be every other week, i.e. this Resource and another resource will alternate weeks.
• The coverage is applicable to the Resource’s territory only and will be pre-scheduled.

Requirements:

• CCNA preferred or CompTIA Network certification
• Network monitoring experience (SolarWinds preferred)
• 6 months to a year of professional Cisco Networking experience
• Reliable Transportation
• Able to be On-call every other week
