CBTS is in search of a Network manager for a hybrid opportunity.
The Network Manager will lead a dedicated team of network professionals. The role is a unique blend of leadership and hands-on technical work, ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring a team while staying actively involved in the design, implementation, and maintenance of company's critical network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, manage, and mentor a small team of network and IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Conduct regular performance reviews and support professional development and training;
- Hands-On Network Operations: Actively participate in the day-to-day management of network infrastructure, including the configuration, installation, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points;
- Network Architecture & Design: Design, plan, and implement scalable and secure LAN/WAN and cloud network solutions to meet current and future business demands;
- Troubleshooting & Support: Serve as the primary escalation point for complex network issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution to ensure maximum network uptime and performance;
- Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee all network-related IT projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with business goals;
- Network Security: Develop, implement, and enforce network security policies and procedures. Manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to protect data and system integrity;
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with vendors, internal departments, and key stakeholders to define requirements, manage service level agreements (SLAs), and communicate project status and network performance;
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network architecture, configurations, processes, and disaster recovery plans.
REQUIRES
- Advanced, hands-on knowledge of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.;
- Hands-on proficiency with enterprise-grade switches, routers, firewalls, WLAN controllers, and cloud networking constructs;
- Must be able to be hands on as well as a leader
- Strong understanding of network security principles, including VPNs, IDS/IPS, access control, and threat management;
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise wireless networking standards, deployment, and security;
- Experience with cloud networking concepts and services in environments such as AWS (VPC, Direct Connect) or Azure (VNet, ExpressRoute);
- Experience with network monitoring/automation tools;
- Familiarity with ITIL practices for incident, change, and problem management;
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a technical team, with strong skills in delegation, performance management, and mentorship.
Preferred
- Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network are highly preferred;
- 7 years of experience in a technical networking role, with at least 3 years in a team leadership or management position;
- Demonstrated experience managing large IT infrastructure projects.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or a related field;
