Responsibilities:
The overall goal of the SGS is to drive new business development through active outreach, networking, and project identification, supporting both account revitalization and net-new customer acquisition while establishing key relationships within target verticals.
- Collaborate and work with internal teams to understand scope and deliverables needed for key initiatives, target markets, projects, and other house and net new opportunities
- Conduct market research, find high quality, high value leads
- Collaborate with Marketing to fine tune messaging and tactics, leveraging a 360-degree portfolio of lead and engagement tools
- Utilize key market research platforms (such as Industrial Info Resource, Builders Exchange, ZoomInfo, etc.)
- Learn and utilize HubSpot Marketing, HubSpot Sales, and CRMgo daily
- Fearlessly open doors and initiate conversations and relationships with targeted customers to earn trust and confidence, securing face-to-face meetings for CBT
- Engage with CBT Technical Solutions Consultants (TSCs) and Account Managers as needed, based on project/company type, identifying where they can/need to lean in
- Represent CBT by attending strategic regional and national industry conferences and networking events to increase industry engagement and identify business opportunities and targets
- Participate in customer in-person meetings to support Account Managers, enhance customer engagement, and relationship management when appropriate
- Complete vendor training sessions with key suppliers to enhance product and solution knowledge
- Follow CBT’s processes and procedures and provide continuous improvement recommendations to increase efficiencies as appropriate

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent
- 2-3 years of Sales or Business Development experience
- Familiarity with CRM, Marketing automation, and/or competitive intelligence tools

Working Environment:
Work is predominantly performed within a general office environment but will include on-site plant and facility visits. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing, walking, lifting (overhead, waist level), bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
