Summary:
The Depot Logistics Department coordinates, processes, and tracks ISO container movements into and out of CBSL Facilities and within the separate internal service sectors. A large variety of orders in varied formats converts them into accurate logistics system entries. Additionally, the Logistics Coordinator closely tracks and verifies all logistical activity to ensure that customer's requirements and demands are acted upon.
Duties include (but not limited to):
- Monitor incoming customer orders and enter them into the logistics systems promptly and accurately with a goal time of no longer than 1 Hour, from receipt to entry into the Logistics System.
- Continually follow-through and track customer’s orders per established Depot Reconciliation Processes and request by Action Date and induce accurate and timely response from within all CBSL Departments to ensure a 100% correct and timely Customer Inventory Report is produced with proper arrival and departure dates, proper statuses, and proper notes.
- Develop and construct multiple internal “Action List” such as Unload List, Work List, Wash List, and Load List throughout the day and by deadline for Departments to act upon. These lists will be tracked to resolution by the coordinator.
- To review multiple action list from previous day(s) and ensure requested services and actions have been completed within the Logistical, Operational, and Billing systems that in-turn are reflected on an accurate Customer Master Inventory Report
- Coordinate and track all movements inbound to, outbound from, within all service areas while on our site, and to notify customers, CBSL Trucking, and others when actions are not happening as expected per order. This would include a special focus on ensuring all tanks are picked up by the Last-Day-Free-Time and delivered by the Cut-Off time. It is the Depot Logistics Department Responsibility to ensure all units are verified on the yard by the Last Day of Free Time and to verify CBSL Trucking has plans to deliver all units by cut-off. (Port/Rail Proof-of-Delivery is not a duty of a Depot Coordinator)
- To ensure all request for cleaning, repair, and preparation are communicated to the operation per established process.
- Review and verify the unit’s repair documentation and preparation checklist to ensure loading requirements are met prior to yard departure
- To work with and make recommendations to the IT and Project teams in refining the systems and software to increase the operational efficiency and accuracy of the Depot Logistics Department and the other Departments it helps coordinate.
- To work safely, to follow established safety procedures (Including commodity screening), and to report unsafe conditions
- Assist the Depot Logistics Leader daily organization and operation of the Department.
- Other duties as assigned by the Depot Operations Manager, Directors, or President of the company.
Job Requirements Include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in fast paced Transportation/Logistics or Repair Shop Environment
- Bilingual Preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
