WBZ-TV is looking for a Northeastern student to be Receptionist/Production Assitstant/Digital/Sales Marketing Co-Op for a 6 month term, January – June 2023. The position is 40 hours a week and we have both a day shift available. In this position you will work with our Digital Team, learning the basics of news writing, copy editing, how to produce compelling stories for the station’s website, along with search optimization strategies. Additional responsibilities will include working with the Noon News as a Production Assistant (learning how to assist directors and staff for a newscast), and helping with the Sales/Marketing team when needed. The Receptionist portion of this position will have you responsible for greeting guests, answering phone calls, incoming/outgoing packages, and organizing the front area.
This position includes receptionist/administrative support, however, there are at least 8 alumni who started in this role who are now full time employees in all areas of the company. The supervisor is terrific and will help the student network in the different areas. They have been a co-op employer for many years and help students learn about the television industry.
