Overview:
We are seeking a multiskilled IT leader to join our 24x7 live television and production operation. This role is responsible for the stability, security, and strategic direction of IT systems that directly support on air broadcasting, newsroom operations, and business functions. This role requires well-developed technical, organizational and communication skills. The Manager, IT will work as part of the engineering and operations team to plan and implement IT projects including infrastructure upgrades, software and hardware support, and systems integration. This person will also represent local technology team in station group initiatives and enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain continuity and support all systems in our live television and digital production environment
- Ensure backup, recovery, and disaster preparedness for operation
- Lead technical projects from planning through implementation
- Familiar with control room automation, newsroom control systems, asset management, storage and editing platforms
- Work closely with vendors to troubleshoot issues, manage support cases, and maintain service level expectations
- Oversee, when requested, payments to IT related vendors to ensure continuity of provided services
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, security policies, and regulatory requirements
- Assess and mitigate operational and cybersecurity risks specific to broadcast and newsroom environments
- Minimize on air impact from IT related incidents
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering or related field
- 4 years experience in IT project management
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and make decisions in high pressure, time critical environments
- Experience in cloud technologies, cybersecurity, deploying physical and virtual servers
- Experience supporting users in a dynamic workplace
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite, Teams, Slack, Active Directory, CrowdStrike
- This role requires after hours or on call support. And on-site support for major station events
