Position Summary The General Winery Worker position assists in the daily tasks of Harvest operations, strictly adhering to established work methods and safety protocols. The General Winery Worker is also responsible for ensuring all processes consistently meet the highest quality standards, supporting an efficient, safe, and quality-driven production environment. Responsibilities Under moderate supervision, performs basic, routine Harvest, Cellar, and Barrel Room tasks including but not limited to: Tank and equipment sanitation Grape sampling, receiving, sorting, crushing and conveyance to tank Ensuring all tanks are set up correctly with full functionality of hot/cold glycol, compressed air, inert gas, pumpover operation, etc. Drain & Press operations, adhering to all safety protocols Daily tank checks Barrel prep, sanitation, filling, and/or emptying Wine movements – set-up and movement of wine and juice to and from tanks, barrels and tanker trucks. Make additions to wine and juice after confirmation of the calculations by a Cellar Supervisor or Manager. Operates all types of pumps including centrifugal, positive displacement, air pumps and other Cellar equipment. Measure and calculate routine workplace data. Basic understanding of chemical additives and cleaners Basic understanding of N2/CO2/Argon/ SO2 Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member safety. Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma, College Degree preferred Must be able to work various shifts and overtime as needed Able to enter confined spaces to perform tasks Must be able to read and understand written work orders Must be able to operate machinery Must know how to use hand tools Must possess basic math skills Must be able to use D.O/O2 meters Clear commitment to high quality and attention to details Able to work independently with minimum supervision Physical Requirements/Work Environment Must be able to stand, walk, sit Must be able to move up to 55 lbs Use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms Climb or balance stairs/ladders Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear Must have close vision, distant vision, and ability to adjust focus, peripheral vision Must be able to stand for extended periods at a time Works outdoors/indoors Works in warm/cold climates Works on wet surfaces Is exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals Works near moving, mechanical parts and lift truck traffic Salary range: $ $18.00 - $22.00.
