Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in communications/public relations at an agency (must)
- Degree in in Communication, Public Relations or related fields
- Experience owning PR and Social Media campaigns from start to finish, developing the strategy, managing execution and delivering results
- Strategic thinker and excellent writer in need of minimal editing
- Strong media relations skills and proven industry relationships
- A comprehensive understanding of traditional and online communication strategies
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple clients and projects simultaneously
- Manages time well, prioritizing deadlines and managing up in terms of workload
- Self-starter
Responsibilities
- Work alongside client leads to contribute ideas toward long-term client strategies
- Craft creative pitch angles that position clients uniquely and yield press results
- Development and execution of PR, Social and Influencer Marketing strategies and plans
- Create content calendars (reels, stories and posts) and schedule in Sprout
- Development of client brand strategy documents to guide all work and ensure brand tone and voice remain consistent
- Serve as main day-to-day client contact addressing all requests and communications, including status of activities and recommendations for account growth
- Develop and maintain close relationships with media
- Develop, review and edit written work including press releases, pitches, client/partner-facing emails and social media content
- Lead and oversee work of junior team members and coach them as needed for growth
- Collaborate with CBPR team to generate new ideas both for clients and the agency
- Manage influencer relations and coordinate events
- Pitch national, regional and local media with the goal of securing regular press coverage for clients
- Generation of creative ideas to bolster results and optimize programs for our clients
- Maintain an understanding of the current media landscape including national mainstream news media outlets, specialized industry publications, and digital and social media developments
- Represents and promotes the agency at industry/community events
- Assist with new biz outreach
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000 per year
