What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telecommunications Technician position at CBN Geneva LLC?
Community Broadband Networks (CBN) is a fast-growing Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) bringing affordable, high-speed internet to communities across Geneva. We’re building the infrastructure that connects people — and we need experienced leaders in the field to make it happen.
Responsibilities
- Lead POP site and wireless infrastructure construction.
- Install and align wireless radios and related equipment.
- Perform basic civil construction (run conduit, concrete pads, trenching, grounding, utility coordination).
- Ensure projects meet safety, code, and engineering standards.
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and vendors to complete projects on time.
- Conduct site inspections and enforce OSHA safety compliance.
Qualifications
- Certified Tower Climber (required).
- 2 years of telecom or utility construction experience with leadership responsibilities.
- Hands-on experience installing and aligning wireless radios.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans, drawings, and engineering diagrams.
- Physically able to lift 75 lbs., climb towers/ladders, and work outdoors in all conditions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
