Job Description: CMM Operator / Programmer
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for the operation and programing of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM’s), developing quality control plans, and inspection records. The individual is responsible for the inspection of precision machined parts by using a variety of precision inspection equipment. The employee will be required to use this equipment effectively to verify conformance to blueprint and process specification requirements. The role is to define effective and efficient actions allowing them to detect and contain quality issues, as well as to correct and prevent them.
Job Responsibilities:
· Program CMM’s (Must be proficient with Hexagon brand CMM’s)
· Perform inspections across various stages of production.
· Maintain inspection reports, First Article / Final Inspections, and ISO documentation.
· Inspect parts and audit products according to quality and process standards. Inspection can be performed through visual, layout, dimensional, or non-destructive tests.
· Ensure compliance or report non-conforming parts/procedures.
· Provides support to production, identifies problems in manufacturing & assembly process, communicates within the team to provide solutions.
· In-house verification of inspection equipment.
· Assist in the investigation and disposition of non-conforming material.
· Assist in gathering data, compiling information, and assisting management in the development of metrics and reports.
Job Requirements:
· High School degree or equivalent required.
· Able to Operate and Program Hexagon brand CMM’s
· Must have a good working knowledge of GD&T symbology and blueprint reading.
· Inspection of precision machined parts including reading blueprints, material, and part specifications, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
· Maintain a working area in a neat and orderly manner.
· Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
· Effective teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
