Job Description
We are seeking a Principal Frontend App Developer to serve as the technical leader for the design and implementation of modern, scalable, and user-friendly applications for our client.
In this role, you will define frontend architecture, set coding standards, and mentor a team of engineers while remaining highly hands-on with code. You will collaborate closely with Product, UX, Backend, and AI/ML teams to build a modular, multi-brand digital platform that delivers seamless healthcare experiences at scale.
This is a 6-Month Contract-to-Hire (C2H) position requiring a hybrid schedule in Philadelphia, PA.
Role & Compliance Details (Please Read Before Applying)
Position Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire (Intent to convert to Full-Time Employee after 6 months).
Work Schedule: Hybrid. Must be onsite every Tuesday and Wednesday at the Philadelphia, PA office. No exceptions.
Geographic Preference: Local PA/Philadelphia or ready to relocate
Interview Process: 3 Rounds (Rounds 1 & 2 are Virtual; Round 3 is Mandatory In-Person in Philadelphia).
Required Skills & Experience
Experience: Minimum 8 years of professional frontend engineering experience, with 3 years operating in a Principal, Staff, or Lead Engineer capacity (with direct reports/mentorship responsibilities).
Core Tech: Deep, expert-level knowledge of React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture patterns.
Mobile Development: Proven experience building scalable mobile applications using React Native.
CMS & Auth: Experience integrating headless CMS platforms (preferably Sanity.io) and implementing identity solutions (OAuth2/OIDC via FusionAuth, Auth0, Okta, etc.).
State & Data: Strong understanding of frontend state management and caching (React Query, Zustand, Redux Toolkit, Apollo, etc.).
Systems Architecture: Experience designing multi-brand, multi-tenant frontend platforms and integrating with GraphQL/REST APIs.
Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with Azure cloud services (App Services, CDN, Blob Storage) and modern CI/CD deployment workflows (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps).
Observability: Experience with frontend monitoring tools like Datadog, Sentry, or OpenTelemetry.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in healthcare technology or other regulated industries.
Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI handling, HITRUST, or PCI-DSS compliance frameworks.
Experience supporting multilingual and internationalized digital platforms.
Experience with Storybook, Figma integration workflows, and design token management.
Salary : $65 - $70
