$175,000 - $250,000
CBIZ's Technical & Transactional Accounting Practice assists high growth companies with complex technical accounting, internal and external reporting, external audit preparation, IPO preparation, as well as systems / process and people. Our professionals assist clients with their efforts to meet financial reporting requirements, including the preparation of financial statement and regulatory filings, and the application and implementation of complex accounting standards for U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). Our practice combines our knowledge and experience in the areas of financial reporting, risk management, and compliance to help address our clients' most important issues. This specialized technical knowledge and industry experience allow us to provide a unique perspective in solving today's accounting issues.
We ideally seek a candidate located within the San Francisco Bay Area, in proximity to our CBIZ office, to support a flexible hybrid work model. However, all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, as we remain open to remote work arrangements.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties:
Develop extensive skills in audit procedures/facilitation, SEC reporting and technical GAAP
Enhance professional oral and written communication skills
Exhibit a professional, business–like demeanor
Apply problem solving skills and deliver ARC Consulting methodology on engagements
Build and broaden industry knowledge to support organization and functional initiatives
Exercise professional judgment on engagements by identifying issues and providing proactive solutions
Provide recommendations for improved and enhanced business efficiency to clients
Demonstrate leadership and provide guidance to other engagement team members
Proactively manage career – set goals and career plans with Managing Directors
Responsibilities include:
Contribute to strong client relationships through meaningful interactions with high level client personnel
Understand engagement as it relates to client's business and industry
Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of client industries
Assume responsibility for leading execution on all engagements
Perform engagement planning and communicate status updates
Manage staff and manager utilization through delegation
Ensure high quality of engagement related products/deliverables
Train managers and staff
Writing/developing client reports/deliverables and communicating engagement results
Recognize and communicate opportunities to sell "add–on" work to client
Deliver services that meet ARC Consulting standards of excellence
Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BBA/BS in Accounting, Finance or business-related field
U.S. CPA certification
MBA/MS/MA degree is a plus
CFA, CIA, CISA, or CISSP certification is a plus
8+ years related experience required
Knowledge of US GAAP is required
Knowledge of IFRS standards is a plus
Prior public accounting or consulting experience is required
Prior industry experience is a plus
Team leadership skills/experience is required
Proficiency in MS office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
7 years of experience in related field
5 years supervisory
Must have and preserve required licenses
Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
