The OAS Manager will be accountable directly to clients for completing full writeup of all accounts, analysis of results, preparation of management reports and internal financial statements, coordination with other stakeholders for tax compliance and audit compliance.The individual must be able to meet monthly close deadlines.The individual will be a part of a team with similar responsibilities and will be expected to step in and assist others as required.Ideal candidate will be able to recognize opportunities for process improvements, and have knowledge of compliance requirements for payroll, sales tax, state registration, etc.

Essential Functions And Primary Duties
- Monthly Close: Write up information and prepare monthly balance sheet and/or profit and loss schedules and reconciliations including but not limited to prepaids, depreciation, intangibles, accruals, debt, and equity. Record payroll, rent, interest, and any other applicable general ledger entries.
- Reconciliations: Prepare or review bank, brokerage, and credit card reconciliations.
- Financial Reports: Provide clients with accurate financial information and reports to assist in business decision-making.
- Variance analysis: Identify changes in GL accounts and explain the trends.
- Service: Create and maintain strong relationships with clients through reliable service, accountability, daily communication directly with clients and stakeholders.
- Tax compliance support: Coordinate with the tax team on requests for annual tax compliance and any support needed.
- Audit assistance: Preparation of GAAP financial statements.Prepare client audit schedules as required.
- Communication: Keep engagement team informed and updated on engagement progress, issues, status and needs.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- 1099s: Prepare annual 1099s and track W-9 compliance throughout the year.
- Team Development: Train and mentor staff.
- Process Narratives: Assist in the documentation of internal controls and processes.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm or similar environment.
- Expert knowledge of QuickBooks (both Online and Desktop versions) & Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency with Bill.com, Caseware or similar preferred.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6 years of experience in public accounting or related field
- 3 years supervisory experience
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
- Proficient use of applicable technology
