Essential Functions And Primary Duties
- Underwrite new submissions to ensure new policies are correct per guidelines
- Review all underwriting information to correctly underwrite the policy
- Process and scan documents for record and files electronically
- Help prepare monthly renewal and anniversary reports
- Enter new business applications, initiate renewal application process, process term letters, and distribute applications to support the underwriting process
- Run pre-defined statistical reports on new business and renewal applications
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related area such as health education, medical, wellness, or fitness
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Less than 3 years of underwriting experience
- Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Experience working in a team environment as a team leader/facilitator/influencer
- Ability to be a role model/mentor/health coach for health and wellness to others
- Required competencies includes: project management, organization skills, analytic capabilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, articulate presentation skills, and self-motivation
- Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
