Essential Functions And Primary Duties
- Draft, negotiate and review contracts including real estate and equipment leases, engagement letters, and agreements related to employment
- Manage and resolve disputes with clients, vendors, employees or third-parties
- Conduct interviews, gather documents and engage outside legal representation when necessary
- Review policies at regular intervals and track developments in the relevant law or regulation
- Update policies and procedures in accordance with new developments
- Maintain general corporate compliance for clients
- Manage litigation, including interviewing and selecting/retaining outside counsel to assist in gathering documents in response to discovery
- General legal research and continuing education
- Advise clients on general legal matters, employment, intellectual property and securities law
- Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Juris Doctoral degree
- 2 years of job-related prior experience
- Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization
- Possess problem-solving ability through detailed analysis of various rules, regulations and laws
- Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills
