Hotel Asset Management Analyst

**Candidates MUST reside in EST or CST and be willing to travel 50% of the time.  Candidates also MUST have experience within hotels/hospitality to be considered.**

CBIZ Talent Solutions is assisting our client in their search for a Hotel Asset Management Analyst for our company located in Cleveland, OH.

We are seeking a highly motivated, analytically driven Hotel Asset Management Analyst to support the performance of a growing portfolio of hotel investments. Reporting to the Senior Vice President and Head of Asset Management, the analyst will play a key role in portfolio management, business intelligence and reporting, conducting market and financial analysis, supporting strategic initiatives, and collaborating with various stakeholders internally and externally to optimize asset value. This position can either be based at our Headquarters office in Cleveland, or remote in a city with access to a major airport. If remote, travel will be required up to 50% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

• Performance Management: Track and analyze the financial and operational performance of assigned hotel assets, including P&L reviews, market analysis, QA/BSA/GSS results, benchmark analysis against budget/forecast/underwriting, etc.
• Financial Modeling & Analysis: Build and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, ROI, IRR, etc.) to evaluate hotel performance, renovation ROI, capital planning, and value enhancement strategies.
• Budget & Forecast Reporting & Review: Collaborate with hotel operators to consolidate and review annual operating and capital budgets, 3-5 year capital plans, weekly/monthly reforecasts, and quarterly/annual strategic business plans and initiatives.
• Capital Projects: Assist in tracking and evaluating capital expenditure initiatives, renovations, and ROI projects to ensure cost-effective execution.
• Business Intelligence: Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual asset reports, dashboards, and presentations for investors and executive leadership team. Implement solutions to automate collection and interpretation of data to determine top priorities.
• Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with hotel operators, brand representatives, lenders, consultants, and internal teams to support ownership objectives and reporting requirements.
• Market Research: Conduct market-level analysis including supply/demand trends, competitor benchmarking, and macroeconomic insights to support investment and operational decisions.
• Technology Implementation: Assist with selection, implementation, and ongoing training/maintenance of best-in-class technology solutions for business intelligence, financial planning and analysis, operations, labor management, revenue management, sales and marketing, capital management, investor relations, etc.
• Underwriting Support: Participate in underwriting new hotel acquisitions, renovations, or dispositions as needed, not to exceed 25% of job responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Hospitality/Hotel Management, Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field.
• Hotels/Hospitality experience REQUIRED
• 1–3 years of experience in hotel asset management, hotel acquisitions, or hospitality consulting is required.
• Strong proficiency in business intelligence and financial modeling (Excel), with ability to read and interpret P&L statements, market data, and industry metrics.
• High level of analytical and problem-solving skills with robust attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders, with proficiency in using PowerPoint to present to senior/executive leadership as well as investors.
• Experience using hospitality technology tools, particularly ownership and management systems, is required. Examples include Singlepane, ProfitSword, M3, Inn Flow, etc.
• Familiarity with hotel operations, labor management, revenue management, sales and marketing, systems is a plus. Examples include PMS (FOSSE, OnQ, PEP, Opera, Hotel Key, etc.), POS (Micros, Toast, Shiji Infrasys, etc.), LMS (Hotel Effectiveness, Unifocus, etc.), Revenue Management (OneYield, GRO, TravelClick, etc.), Sales (CI/TY, Delphi, Amaze Insights, etc.), Operations and Capital Management (Quore, Transcendent, etc.).
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, with monthly “In-Office Weeks” in Cleveland, and frequent trips to portfolio assets, potential acquisitions, and industry events/conferences.
