This is an excellent opportunity for someone with project accounting, cost accounting, construction accounting, or FP&A experience who wants a highly visible role working directly with project leaders and business stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Own the financial integrity of project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting.
- Partner with project managers to analyze project performance and profitability.
- Manage purchase order tracking, reconciliation, and project-related financial reporting.
- Prepare and distribute monthly customer billings while supporting collections activities.
- Perform month-end and year-end project close processes.
- Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and cost-at-completion reporting.
- Analyze project costs, identify variances, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Reconcile project-level profit and loss statements and support operational decision-making.
- Prepare contract-required financial reports and other project performance analyses.
- Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
What We're Looking For
- 2 years of experience in project accounting, cost accounting, construction accounting, or FP&A.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and project financial analysis.
- Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes.
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across departments.
- Experience with project accounting or construction-related ERP systems is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
