Sales Associate Shift Lead

Position Description

Sales Associate Shift Lead position is responsible for maintaining guest services, cash register operations (POS), generating sales, merchandising, signage, pricing, loss prevention, store housekeeping in adherence to all company policy and store standards. This position will report to the Store Manager.

Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This position requires the ability to perform a combination of the following duties during 95% of work day/shift. Although exact duties may vary from day to day, our business and staffing model make it essential to be able to perform all of the following duties accurately, efficiently and safely on a regular basis.

• Process information / merchandise through the cash register (POS) and maintain proper cash handling procedures.
• Oversee and authorize guest returns, exchanges, merchandise credits, check authorization, charge sends, rain checks and discretion discounts (i.e. competitive employee sales, etc)
• Assures completion of all POS transaction, proper control of all cash and media at the POS registers according to company policies and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of daily deposits, change and media, but does not have access to the safe combinations or manager keys.
• Assist in the training of new cashiers and cross-training of other associates.
• Oversees the productivity, breaks and daily scheduling of all cashiers and communicates performance issues to management.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and assembly of merchandise.
• Assist in receiving and monitoring floor stock and ensure re-wraps are done promptly.
• Execute price changes & markdowns.
• Assist in store housekeeping.
  
  

Required Education and Experience

High School diploma or GED

Compensation details: 17-19 Hourly Wage
