What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern position at CBC?
As an intern at CBC, you'll gain hands-on experience and develop foundational skills across key areas of our agency. Interns have the opportunity to collaborate with our team, learning how we bring ideas to life in a fast-paced, creative environment. Throughout this experience, you’ll work alongside industry experts and contribute as a valued member of the team to help deliver impactful work for our clients.
Our Fall Internship Program begins in September and runs through December. Interns will work a minimum of 20 hours per week, with a preferred undergraduate graduation date of 2026 or 2027. This internship is for-credit and will be hybrid, with occasional in-person team days in Boston.
What You Can Help Us With:
- Contribute to media strategy by developing proactive pitch angles, targeted media lists, and creative mailer concepts
- Monitor and track media coverage, industry trends, and competitor activity for lifestyle clients
- Research and compile award, media, and speaking opportunities for clients
- Support planning and execution of CBC House programs, including vendor research, event logistics, briefing books, and social media monitoring
- Create engaging content and visuals that elevate brand presence across social media platforms
- Help shape brand voices through digital storytelling, including blogs, posts, and newsletters
- Research influencers and trends to align brands with the right audiences
- Assist with campaign planning and development of content calendars in partnership with the marketing team
- Participate in brainstorms and contribute to creative strategies
- Provide day-to-day support for account teams through research, project assistance, and resource development
Requirements:
- Available 20 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
- Creative thinker with strong organizational and logistical skills
- Excellent writing, communication, and collaboration abilities
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with Muck Rack, Canva, and social media scheduling tools
- Proficient in Outlook, Keynote, Google Drive, and other standard office programs
- Active understanding of major social networks (Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, etc.)
- Previous experience with remote internships is a plus, but not required
