What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipe Layer/Laborer position at CBC Site Development?
CBC Site Development is seeking to hire a Pipe Layer/Laborer for several ongoing utility projects. The scope of work includes the installation of water, sanitary sewer, and storm lines. Applicants with a strong work ethic, coachability, and team first attitude are encouraged to apply. Heavy equipment operating experience and skills are an added plus.

Daily Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install various types of pipe, making connections in ditch-sewer, water, and storm.
- Effectively communicate with operator to excavate trenches to proper depths and grade.
- Set up pipe laser, ensure proper grade and line.
- Assist in layout and site prep for pipe runs.
- Daily material prep, stringing out pipes and staging other materials.
- Hook and rig pipes safely for placement in the ditch.
- Effectively communicate daily tasks and plans with foreman.
- Maintain basic machine maintenance (greasing, fueling, air filters, checking oils, and cab cleaning).
Experience, Knowledge, and Requirements:
- Safely and effectively work with various hand and power tools- ex. demo saw, circular saw, hammer drill, pipe beveler.
- Basic understanding of a pipe laying operation.
- Ability to do physical tasks; rigging, standing, bending/crouching for periods of time.
- Reliable transportation.
- Attendance and schedule maintainability.
Note: Pay discussed upon hire. Based on heavy equipment Experience/Ability.
