TITLE:                         Information Security Analyst – Blue Team REPORTS TO:           Chief Information Security Officer STATUS:                     Salaried LOCATION:                Columbus, OH / Remote WFH SCHEDULE:               Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. SALARY:                    Starting at $80,000   JOB SUMMARY: Information security analysts design and implement security systems to protect the company’s computer networks from cyber-attacks, and help set and maintain security standards. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation: Stop the bad guys from accessing our networkVulnerability Management/Scans.Monitor logs to detect threats in our internal network.Monitor network activity to detect threats – all network activity, logs, network taps, etc.Monitor EDR tools to detect threats.Stay up to date and provide general knowledge of current information security trends, tools and tactics.Recommend solutions to ensure we to have detection and/or prevention of attacks we face today.Perform forensic investigations to determine when an incident occurs if there was a data loss event.Perform tuning/tooling/automation to maximize value of current capabilities.Other Duties as assigned.   QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with networking (Route/Switch/Firewall etc) Experience with System Server Administration (Linux/Windows) Python/Regex/Programming experience Operating System Concepts and Design Information Security related certifications (CISSP, etc) Splunk Enterprise Support and Deployment is key   REMOTE WORK REQUIRMENTS: Stable broadband/high-speed internet connection for tele training and online learning Mobile hotspot not accepted Experience with teleconferencing Broadband Internet that uses DSL, fiber optics, or cable. Avoid over-the-air or fixed broadband, which delivers internet over airwaves. Minimum standards for internet speed, latency, and WiFi include: Download Speeds 100 mbps or more Upload Speeds 10 mbps or more Ping Latency (time for data to travel) 50 ms or less WiFi Signal 60-70 dBm WiFi Protocol 802.11ac or 802.11ax Use a router or modem capable of hosting multiple devices. This is especially true if others at home are downloading or streaming, too. Visit www.speedtest.net and follow the prompts to run a speed test.     PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear and may be required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, stoop, kneel or crouch. This position requires the ability to read typewritten text on a computer screen.
