Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as asphalt milling machines, excavators, loaders and dozers.
- Coordinate with the construction team to ensure smooth workflow during paving projects
- Maintain mechanical knowledge of equipment to perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety standards are met
- Conduct safety checks before starting machinery and adhere strictly to safety protocols throughout all operations
- Assist with the setup of construction sites, including site preparation and material handling using commercial vehicles and loaders.
- Coordinate with crew and trucks to keep the job moving forward.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as asphalt milling machines, excavators, loaders, skid steers, and dozers.
- Strong knowledge of construction site procedures with a focus on paving and asphalt removal
- Mechanical aptitude to perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Skilled in site prep for asphalt paving.
- Familiarity with construction safety standards and protocols to ensure a secure work environment
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various construction disciplines

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 70 per week
