The mission of Community Action Programs Cayuga/Seneca (CAP) is to respectfully assist people to achieve and sustain self-sufficiency through direct services, education, and community partnerships.
CAP is seeking a Non-Profit Accountant. The Non-Profit Accountant provides assistance to the Fiscal Director and Fiscal Coordinator in planning, coordinating and accurately fulfilling program Grant accounting functions regarding budget and compliance issues in a timely and professional manner in compliance with State and Federal rules and regulations.
The Non-Profit Accountant must meet the following minimum qualifications:
· Associate’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
· At least two (2) years of general accounting experience required; experience with grant or fund accounting is strongly preferred.
· Solid understanding of GAAP and demonstrated knowledge of nonprofit fund accounting environments.
· Valid New York State driver’s license in good standing and access to reliable transportation required.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position scheduled for 35 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $28.00–$30.00, based on experience.
