What's the role?

  • Schedule surgeries for patients
  • Schedule ancillary services and testing (MRI, CT scans, etc.)
  • Obtain insurance authorizations for above procedures
  • Manage phone calls with regard to above procedures
  • Counsel patients with regard to upcoming surgeries and testing
  • Coordinate pre-surgical clearance from the patients' PCP
  • Ensure history and physicals are faxed before surgeries
  • Assemble surgical orders for PA's and coordinate PA schedule to MD schedule for the operating room
  • Provide back up support for front desk

We are looking for an detail-oriented and efficient team player who has good communication skills and can face challenges head on with their team. You should meet the following qualifications as well:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous medical office experience that includes complex coordination of referrals, testing or surgeries is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service attitude
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of scheduling protocols
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Final pay rates are determined by a number of factors including years of experience, licensure, and certification where applicable.
