Procedure Scheduler

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Schedule surgeries for patients
- Schedule ancillary services and testing (MRI, CT scans, etc.)
- Obtain insurance authorizations for above procedures
- Manage phone calls with regard to above procedures
- Counsel patients with regard to upcoming surgeries and testing
Required Skills and Experience:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service attitude
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic keyboard knowledge
- Knowledge of scheduling protocols
- High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Previous medical office experience that includes complex coordination of referrals, testing or surgeries is preferred

- Lifting-- must be able to lift 40 lb
Location and Travel Requirements:
- Onsite: GI Clinic - 1020 Craft Rd. Ste. Ithaca, NY. 14850
- Shift: 7:30am - 5:00pm M-F
Pay Range Disclosure:
- $20.50 to $26.00 per hour
