Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Program Manager to join our team, focusing specifically on initiatives within the Alternative Investments space. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of strategic thinking, hands-on project management and program management expertise, and deep knowledge of Agile methodologies. This role requires exceptional communication and presentation skills, particularly proficiency in utilizing PowerPoint to articulate complex strategies and results to executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Strategy and Oversight:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive Program Management strategy for a portfolio of cross-functional projects related to alternative investment products (e.g., Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Real Estate, Infrastructure).
    • Define program scope, objectives, governance, and success metrics in alignment with organizational goals and the specific requirements of the Alternative Investments division.
    • Manage interdependencies between projects, mitigate risks, and ensure resource allocation is optimized across the program.
  • Project Execution and Agile Leadership:
    • Directly manage critical, high-visibility projects within the program, applying best-in-class project management practices.
    • Champion and implement Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to drive efficient development, delivery, and continuous improvement across technical and business workstreams.
    • Oversee project managers and teams, ensuring project plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met with quality.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:
    • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and executive leadership.
    • Develop and deliver high-impact presentations using PowerPoint to communicate program status, strategic roadmaps, key decisions, and performance results clearly and concisely to senior management and investors.
    • Establish and maintain robust reporting mechanisms to provide transparent updates on program health, risks, and financial performance.
Required Skills (Must-Haves)
  • Alternative Investments Expertise: Proven experience (5 years) working directly with or within the Alternative Investments sector (e.g., fund operations, portfolio management, regulatory compliance for alternatives).
  • Program Management (5 years): Extensive experience managing complex, multi-year, and cross-functional business/technology programs.
  • Project Management (7 years): Deep expertise in all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing, ideally within a financial services context.
  • Agile Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge and practical experience implementing and coaching teams on various Agile frameworks (e.g., certified Scrum Master or equivalent experience is a plus).
  • PowerPoint Mastery: Exceptional ability to create compelling, professional, and visually clear PowerPoint presentations for executive-level audiences.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, CSM, SAFe) are highly desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
