Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Employee Benefits Specialist role based in Lafayette, LA. The Employee Benefits Specialist will work directly with clients and their employees to explain benefits plans, answer questions, and resolve issues related to enrollment, coverage, and claims. Daily responsibilities include supporting benefits administration processes, preparing and reviewing plan documentation, coordinating with insurance carriers, and maintaining accurate records. The role involves assisting with renewals, implementing benefit changes, and helping conduct open enrollment meetings and educational sessions. The Employee Benefits Specialist will also collaborate with internal team members on account management, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and provide timely, professional customer service.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Benefits Administration and Employee Benefits, including enrollment support, plan changes, and compliance awareness.
- Knowledge of Insurance products and plan designs, with the ability to explain coverage options in clear, accessible language.
- Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, follow-through, and problem resolution for clients and their employees.
- Experience in Account Management, including maintaining client relationships, tracking deliverables, and supporting renewals.
