Human Resource Generalist

Cayce Mill Supply, a family-owned company with a strong commitment to our employees, is looking for a Human Resource Generalist to join our team. This role is key to supporting our people, programs, and policies while helping us grow and maintain a positive workplace culture.

As our HR Generalist, you’ll oversee employee programs, ensure compliance with employment regulations, and be the first point of contact for HR-related needs. You’ll work closely with both employees and managers to foster professional growth and a supportive, engaged workplace.

• Administer employee programs (time clock, benefits, PTO/vacation accruals, performance reviews)
• Maintain and update the Employee Handbook
• Oversee employee health plan enrollment
• Manage time submissions to payroll provider
• Ensure employee documentation and annual review cycles are completed
• Conduct background checks, MVR, citizenship, and certification verification for new hires
• Coordinate training programs and maintain training records
• Assist managers with job postings, candidate screening, and interviews
• Support disciplinary and grievance processes
• Schedule employee meetings with insurance and retirement service providers
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Report and manage Workers’ Compensation claims

✔ Experience in HR functions (benefits, compliance, payroll, or recruiting preferred)

✔ Strong organizational and communication skills

✔ Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

✔ Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
